I am in love..

The last 2 weeks have come and gone and it gave me a renewed love for my children and my husband.. With Tatum gone we really got to focus on the boys and spend some time with them, now this had its ups and downs.. but mainly ups. I took this time to finally paint their room since I was redoing T's completely while she was gone. They picked a earthy green and I got to it. I actually painted their room and T's in one afternoon while J watched the Beaver bowl game. They loved it and were so happy to not have white walls anymore. J spent evenings in their room cleaning out their lego buckets and organizing them and helping build a few building for their city. I took the time to play a lot of xbox Kincet Sports With C, as he loves it. Logan hates losing so this is no fun for him!! LOL.. Baseball has started and Logan loves having Jon all to himself 3 nights a week.. So two Saturdays ago we  decided to take the boys to the NS to see the huge swell that had come in and get shave ice.. This trip did not go so well.. First off we left later then we should have and ran into traffic.. we sat in single lane highway traffic for 90 mins only to hit Waimea Bay and see that someone had parked their car halfway in the street so making a trip of maybe 5 miles take 90 mins. I was so pissed, but once we cleared it we say the most amazing waves.. we traveled a little farther to Pipeline..Now this day was supposed to be all about ME and what I wanted to do for once.. HAHA.. that is the biggest laugh! We spent a total of 25 mins at Pipe. The boys played in the sand and the tire swing and then the complaining sat in. I was so upset. Jon and I were fully engaged in a deep conversation while watching these 20 ft waves crash in front of us and I was finally relaxing..Oh, but I must have missed the memo that it was "hot" and my kids were "thirsty" and neither could give me just 5 mins. Good lord, this momma lost her $hi%.. We got up, walked to the car and proceeded to ask for their electronics (Logan's phone and C's ipod..) and then told them "NO SHAVE ICE!!" We even were so mean as to drive by it on our way home. Crying and tantrums ensued and then it happened.. C started to hyperventilate and was really struggling to breathe. We did not have his inhaler in the car ( he hardly ever needs it unless he is sick, or upset.. ) so we pulled over and I pulled him out of the car and started breathing with him and talking him down.. 15 mins later we were back on the road.. Needless to say he feel right asleep and we had a quiet, uneventful rest of the ride.

So fast forward a week and we will try this all again.. Except, I am making this all about me and I am setting the rules..

1.. We are driving around the WHOLE island.. not just to the NS.

2. You are both still grounded from electronics but u may listen to pandora with you headphones.. NO GAMES

3.. If I here any of these questions/responses you could possibly lose your life..
      "are we there yet"
      "how much longer"
      "I'm Hungry"
      "This is boring"
"So and so is bugging me or touching"

4. If u are good and abide by my rules then we will go to Aokis and get shave ice and we will stop somewhere for McDonald's Fries ( really that was just so I could get a diet coke!!)

So we headed out from Ewa and headed towards Honolulu ,went around Hawaii Kai, Waimanalo, Kailua, Kaawa, Huala, Laie, Sunset Beach, and 3 hrs later we hit Haleiwa..My boys listen to their music the whole way, took some pictures, asked questions about the scenery and made this Momma very happy.. I so loved the drive and the peacefulness of the my environment..It again reminded me this is "home" and I never want to leave!
